Description

I've owned this car for 12 years (been a SAAB 900 classic owner and enthusiast for 31 years). This 175bhp version is definitely the one for performance and as a classic car investment. Regrettably, I need to sell the car because I can't afford to run two cars any more. Condition - The engine and gearbox operate smoothly. The dark grey leather seats have no tears and are in very good condition, as are the carpets, alloy wheels, electric hood and tyres. New exhaust in 2023. Fitted with ABS, PAS, after market car stereo sound system. Service History-Mechanical overall by Saab specialist 2012. Major items: gearbox & clutch, ECU, heater valve, speedo cable, APC valve, drive belts & nearside wheel bearing were replaced. High spec HT Leads and new vacuum hoses fitted. Since then done 24000 miles estimated*.Since I have owned the car it has been serviced by the garage or myself (hence the official service manual - included in the sale) depending on time and money available. There is a large folder of history. Negatives - I've done no more 1500 to 2000 miles (Only in summer). The odometer reads 97973 miles but stopped working 12 years ago, (it is not an MOT requirement). I've never replaced it because I intended to keep the car. I suggest the following should reassure a buyer: on the recent MOT the HC reading was low, (actual 163 ppm, max limit is 1200ppm) which is a positive indicator regarding the engine wear, piston rings or valve seals condition. Also, the condition of the original paintwork, leather drivers seats, carpets and general interior, are in keeping with my mileage estimate. I Chemically treated rust on edge of wheel arch six years ago. This has not reappeared but my spray painting from a can has not weathered well. I believe with a bit of investment (which sadly I haven't got), it could be taken to showroom level. Next MOT due 25/04/2025, Silver, 5+ owners, £6,650
