Well loved, well used, always garaged, serviced and maintained, 1997 SL500 R129 Mercedes with 208578 on the clock. MOT'd until June 12th 2024. The car has been in my family since 2009 and has been garaged since ULEZ started in Sept 2023 but still maintained and run out on a private road. Prior to that, recent significant work included 2 new wings sourced directly from Mercedes, and new catalytic converters. Panoramic glass roof included. Private plate H2 DFD included. Retractable roof in full working order. Starts first time and runs well. No warning lights on dash. Two Keys. Lots of service history. Faults: Will require work on steering box as per advisory on the last MOT. Bit of corrosion on the panoramic roof back edge. Electric aerial doesn't extend. Electric passenger wing mirror doesn't work. A few points of wear on the canvas roof. The draft excluder has a tear in it. Generally, a solid, well maintained example of this brilliant car.
