The last year BMW made their beautiful 6 cylinder engine in 2.2 litre form. This was my late father's car and before him his friend (fellow board director) who had it from new and bequeathed it to Dad on his passing. They both used it little and kept it in their garages. I doubt it was ever put away wet! I'm still tempted to keep it but I am at odds with my spaniel who really does not like something about its more sporty ride and hides when we start it up! MOT records will show it has done less than 5k miles in the last 5 years and has an astonishing 49.9k miles in total. It will be MOT'd prior to collection. Any inspection is worthwhile. Pricing is difficult due to the brilliant garage-kept condition and low mileage. There is simply nothing to compare it with. It was serviced with the first owner by Stratstone in Doncaster and then by my father's local independent mechanic who I'm still in touch with. Though I know it was kept beautifully I don't have all my (late) father's records but service history is mostly stamped. His mechanic lately replaced radiator and various ancillary items and my local long term mechanic here in Norfolk has replaced various things like coolant sensor, spark plugs and some of the plastic things that get brittle with age on BMW's like the radiator hose, thermo housing and header tank. I've lately put in on a SORN as we have two other cars. I'd thoroughly recommend a full inspection as all who see it (and hear the engine noise!) fall in love with it. It is sold 'As Seen' and so I am happy if you would like it to be inspected by AA etc. I'm a reluctant seller (due to my dog) but offer the chance for someone to bag a rarity.
