Description

For sale this very clean, Full service history, unmodified, fresh engined John Cooper Works hatch. This is the Gen 2, r56 with the N14 engine. BACKGROUND: I bought the car with a damaged engine. I had the engine fully rebuilt by The Mini Specialist in Tipton. Following the build, the engine was run in as per the mini specialist guidelines. The engine did come with a 12 month/ 12000 mile guarantee but this does not extend to a new owner unfortunately, but shows confidence in the rebuild. The following is the list of parts replaced: Pistons (Uprated Supertech forged pistons) Bores honed, crank ground, and the rest of the block refreshed with new plugs etc. Head rebuild, de-coked, new valve stem seals. The head was fully inspected and all bores and clearances checked. Turbo refurbished by Best Turbos (1 year guarantee)New big end and main bearings. Cam chain, sliders and tensioner. Replacement oil pump. New throttle (the latest variant as the earlier versions could fail). Thermostat, water pump, water pump link pipes Turbo oil supply. Injectors, Spark plugs, coils, air filter. All new gaskets and seals etc. Coolant OIL swapped twice in the 1000 miles after the rebuild. In addition, polybushes have been fit to the rear antiroll bar, and main arm bushes. The other polybushes have not been fitted but will be provided with the car. The brake disks are fresh all round, new front tyres (Goodyear Eagle F1), Catalyst cleaned, cabin filter, fuel filter. Since the rebuild I have finished running it in and have covered a further 1000 miles and all is running well. The car is high spec with keyless entry, sat nav, double sunroof, heated seats, heated windscreen. There are minor paint blemishes given the age of the car and I have included images of this. The front arm bushes have been flagged in the most recent MOT (May 25) but nothing else. The aircon has a leak somewhere. Note - The windscreen is cracked but is getting replaced on Monday 17/06/24. It has had a loss of boost previously in in the 1k miles, but it cleared after an hour of driving. Previous discussion with a mini specialist suggested the boost controller could accumulate fluid if the car is driven gently and it can clear away when you put your foot down. Next MOT due 01/05/2025, Full service history, Black, 5+ owners, £6,999
