First registered 27 September 2019. Full WV Service history - all books & manuals - two keys - maintained to a very high standard, it easily returns 35 mpg on longer runs. Classed as a car, the higher rate of vehicle tax expires this year. Brand new MOT with no advisories - extended service intervals of 24 months or 20,000 miles (next service due in June 2025 or 70,000 miles). The following was carried out at a major service last June: Braking system checked and fluid flushed and renewed + new brake pads all round and new rear discs - DSG gearbox oil changed (next due at 90,000 miles) - Engine oil replaced with long life oil etc. The camshaft drive belt is due for replacement at 140,00 miles. This Ocean's 68,000 miles have been mostly spent cruising on motorways between Devon and Norfolk (many California Ocean users don't use them much in the winter, hence a wide choice of mileages, but I've been very comfortable down to -9C). The currently fitted Summer tyres are in very good condition and both rear tyres are new this year. Because of a fuel pump breaking-up last September, VW replaced the entire high pressure fuel system and fully flushed the fuel tank and low pressure fuel system. This repair carries a two year warranty for parts and labour and is guaranteed until September 2025. Overall, the car is in quite excellent condition. It has never been smoked in or cooked in and the hob has only ever been used to boil a kettle. Everything works as it should and it will operate off-grid for 5 to 10 days without hook-up.
