Regrettably it's time for my immaculate M4 Cab to find a new home. It has been the best car I have ever owned and has been lovingly cared for in every detail throughout the four years it's been with me and has never been tracked. While it comes fully loaded, in the perfect spec and with a full service history its most recent service was completed by BMW M experts Litchfield Motorsport.In addition to the full service Litchfield completed the crank hub bolt fix (to avoid any issues) and upgraded the car to their Stage One switchable map. In short you get better performance than an M4 Competition, but without the compromised ride. As the Map is fully switchable (simply controlled through the cruise control button) you can choose to run the car in its factory setting 424bhp, or in Map Two which increases the BHP to 500bhp and the torque to 485lb ft, and in Map Three (97/99 octane) boost it further to 520bhp and 510lb/ft. Not only does the performance increase but thanks to the unparalleled knowledge of the Litchfield team, so too does the drivability thanks to optimisation of the torque.In addition to the remap, the M4 benefits from the ECUTEK Bluetooth tuning tech, allowing you to change multiple parameters, most notably the sound including poos, bangs and burbles which kills the M4 motorway drone and increases the drama on downshift. FL65 is due its next service in 12,000 miles, has had the front discs replaced and the wheels and tyres are immaculate. In all it is a VERY hard car to let go. For me it is the Swiss Army knife of cars, from long distance motorway crusher to adrenalin spiking B-road hero, to relaxed daily driver. Roof up or roof down every journey in the M is memorable.
