Description

2004 Facelift Sable Toyota MR2 MK3 Roadster with black leather interior. The car has been in family possession since October 2016. For a 20 year old car, it drives very well; I went 140 miles Sheffield to Newcastle a couple of weeks ago without missing a beat. Soft top is in excellent condition for age, no leaks. Car was under a hard top for many years, NOT INCLUDED IN SALE. The car has a fully stamped service book all the way through to 18 years old/2022, at which point the book runs out of space. My stepdad did the oil and filter last year; within the last couple of weeks/100 miles I've done a Toyota filter, 5w30 Mannol C3 oil and NGK spark plugs. I have a wallet full of receipts and invoices, and of course there's my 'reader's rides' thread on MR2ROC forum, which details everything done in my ownership. For reference, I bought the car on ~123k miles, so between us we've only put 32k miles on it in 8 years. There are 4 former keepers on the V5, but as above, bear in mind that I was the owner prior to my Mum. In terms of extras, the car has most of the common 'tweaks' that were in vogue:- TTE dual exit exhaust- TTE rear 'banana' spoiler- Genuine Toyota JDM 'midship runabout' front blue badge- 'Widermuller' solid gearcage mountings- 'Mongo' wind deflectors- 'NathanMR2' gear shift bearings/bushings- Leather central armrest cover/pad- Instrument bulbs replaced with white LEDs - HVAC controls changed for chunkier round dials - Alarm 'flip' mod to free up space in the frunk - Single-DIN Kenwood stereo with USB input fitted - Speakers replaced for uprated Vibe component items - Door skins have flashing tape on the inside to provide extra sound deadening. Other replaced items that commonly need doing on these cars, include:- New Toyota rear subframe in March 2017, I coated with two layers of Hammerite before it was fitted and still holding up well - New LUK clutch at ~132k miles in spring 2018 - New Toyota air con condenser fitted April 2018*- Suspension refreshed all four corners May 2019 at 135k miles- New clutch slave and fluid change Jan 2020- New front lower suspension arms in October 2020- New Toyota facelift headlights fitted in Dec 2020- New genuine Toyota handbrake cables late 2023. Air con currently not blowing cold - suspect compressor. Next MOT due 08/12/2024, Silver, 4 owners, £2,199
