BMW 840ci 1995 for sale. The car is mechanically sound and has no rust but the paintwork isn't ideal due to some peeling lacquer and a couple of scrapes shown in the photos. The engine is superb, the 4.0 V8 is a joy to drive and has no issues. The automatic gearbox is the same. All gears work exactly as they should in all driving modes. The car has recently had a service including: new spark plugs, valve cover gasket and grommets replaced, new oil, new filters (air, oil, and cabin filter), coolant flush and replace with BMW coolant, brake fluid flush and replace. I've kept it in a garage for all of my ownership. The wheels are style 32s powder coated in dark grey with goodyear eagle F1 asymmetric 6 tyres that have only a few hundred miles on them. There is also a spare original BBS R090 (style 5) in the boot. The exhaust has had the catalytic converters replaced. The headlining has been replaced with black alcantara. The air con doesn't work - appears to be a disconnected or broken hose. Both seats folding mechanisms and electric adjustments work. Wing mirrors and windows work well, the sunroof mechanism has been modified to manual interior and electric exterior opening. The info screen has a couple of pixels dying but is still perfectly readable. The radio has been swapped out for one with handsfree and Bluetooth (the car also comes with the original). Both lights pop up fine and the FTPs are good. There is a crack in the middle of the kidney grill. The interior is in moderate condition, drivers seat bolster has a rip in the usual spot. The car was imported from Ireland around 10 years ago I believe, never been an issue for insurance etc. Real MPG is roughly 15 around town, 25 on the motorway, average around 20MPG. I've owned this car for a couple of years now and I'm selling as I don't drive it anywhere as much as I'd like to (see mileage between the last couple of MOTs) and can't justify keeping it around.
