If you are in the market for an MR2 SW20 then this is the vehicle that you should be looking at. In 2016, I purchased this 'tin-top' version with the idea of making a Ferriari Dino out of the car. Once purchased I realsied that the tin-top version is a rare car, given that most have been used for motorsport because of the body stiffness, so I set about putting the car back to original factory spec, see pictures. When it was imported from Japan in the early 90's it was resprayed from the original grey colour to white. A popular decision at the time but not befitting of the car. The vehicle has gone through significant investment: Back to metal full respray, now everything matches and is 100% solid, no rust in sills, doors or other rust spots, new brakes (disks & pads), exhaust (stainless), new coolant pipes front to back, new clutch, engine is sweet (Note that the mileage is recorded in miles, the import cars registered their miles in Km but the MOT shows clock mileage, I estimate that the true miles is 82-85000 miles) Lots of documents with the car including years of MOT's, sorry no service book but I can confirm that as part of the rebuild and on-going running that the car has been very well maintained. I have taken this vehicles to car shows and it is a stand out car which people are really pleased to see, especially by the Grand Turismo and Need for Speed generation, already a classic and going in the right direction.
