This is a unique opportunity to acquire this stunning 997 GT3 tribute car.I started looking for a good base car in 2019. My must-have specification was; wide bodied car with the 3.8 engine, no sunroof and a full engine rebuild. It took some time to find this but eventually came across this car for sale at Strasse Porsche in Leeds. Apart from being the correct specification the car had an impeccable service history and had been well looked after by Strasse Porsche for several years.Initially focusing on the interior, replacing the heavy original seats with ultra-lightweight Cobra buckets which are extremely comfortable. Retrimmed much or the interior with Alcantara type fabric, repainted the centre console in metallic grey, radio surround in satin black and several highlights in guards red, this alone gives the interior up to date look. Replaced the old entertainment system with an up-to-date head unit with Apple CarPlay, DAB and modern navigation.An OMP Alcantara steering wheel, GT3 short-shifter and aluminium pedals completes what has turned out to be very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing interior.The exterior has gone through several stages as the project progressed, initially a full body kit from Moshammer was fitted however over time this was changed to resemble the original GT3 styling. This included a genuine GT3 RS front bumper and GT3 rear wing by Jacquemond. GT3RS style side decals in a two tone colour tie in well with the interior details, wingmirrors and callipers.Mechanically the car has undergone many carefully selected performance upgrades that improve the overall look/stance together with dramatically improving the drive.General maintenance has been maintained to a high level replacing any components when needed. New disks and red pads recently fitted all round. New rear tyres PS4Ss.Performance upgrades include; H&R lowering springs and anti-rollbars, High performance engine mounts, cold air intake upgrade, balanced racing SS headers with titanium bolts and 200 cell cats. DesignTek SS mufflers with bespoke bypass valves that can be switched from the cars original dash sports exhaust switch.
