The already quick standard 125i performance has been enhanced with a remap based on the standard BMW 130i map. The remap, undertaken by Celtic Tuning, re-enables the Variable Valve Timing (which is disabled in software by BMW) and takes the power from the standard for the 125i of 214bhp, up to a dyno tested 278bhp. The car is very drivable with some extra power and torque available throughout the rev range, but with a significant power boost coming in at about 4700 rpm all the way to the Red-line at 7000rpm. The power leads to a significant improvement in the 0:60 times taking over one second off the published standard time of 6.8 seconds down to a measured time of 5.6/5.7 seconds.
