We've owned this car since Oct 2017, when it had about 14,000 miles on the clock. It has been an ultra-cheap, practical and comfortable daily runner for commuting and other local journeys to the beach or to the shops. It has a good sized boot. It has never let us down. The real-life range is about 65 miles - there is 18kWh of useable battery capacity remaining and we get between 3.7 and 4.0 miles per kWh. You could comfortably use the car for a daily commute of up to 20 or 25 miles. It is most suitable for people with a drive so that you can charge at home overnight. The car has a 6.6kW on-board charger (most Leafs of this age have 3.3kW), which means that you can add about 25 miles of range per hour, rather than about 12. This is a really useful added extra that cost eleven hundred when the car was new. We have done the usual servicing at local garages and have recently replaced all four tyres, front wipers and washer motor. We also replaced the front brake pads and (about a year or ago) the 12V battery. The replacement 12V battery is lithium ion, rather than lead-acid, which is more reliable, much longer lasting, higher capacity and lighter, and will never need changing in the life of the car (original cost around five hundred. In summary, everything works. It is a ten-year old car so has normal wear and tear. The bumper paintwork is peeling off in a few places. The seats and interior are clean and undamaged. The car has Chademo rapid charging, nominally at a maximum rate of 50kW. The maximum rate of charging now is about 35kW.
