Description
FURTHER REDUCED IN PRICE, and still open offers . Will be selling the car with fresh MOT. The car comes with a substantial history file and original service book and owner's manual. Please don't confuse this car with some run of the mill XJ-SC's - it is in great condition and is fitted with extremely rare options (hardtop and rear seat conversion) as explained below. This Jaguar XJ-SC was registered in Guildford in March 1987 as a standard specification car. Just after being registered, the first owner (M.D. of Jaguar Guildford) sent the car to Lister Cars in Leatherhead to have various modifications done to it - hence the Lister badge on the rear of the car. Car had the following conversions carried out from its original Jaguar build specification: - A rare rear seat conversion A very rare rear hardtop A twin headlamp conversion Adjustable front and rear suspension. Once the work had been done on the car it was a direct copy of the car that was being driven by Princess Diana 6-months later in 1987 - a coincidence - perhaps? The car has a great service history record going back to 1987 - showing that that the car was regularly serviced and suggested it resided in the southeast of the UK until 2006 before moving up to the North West where it resided for 18-years. 27/04/1987 - 887, 01/12/1987 4612, 03/10/1988 10463, 13/06/1989 15989, 04/12/1991 22712, 27/07/1993 25528, 08/08/1994 29567, 20/03/1995 38301, 20/09/1996 61092, 12/02/1998 70660, 25/03/1999 76808, 07/02/2000 79862, 16/03/2006 81404, ,20/05/2008 84870, 24/07/2009 86164, 06/05/2016 87493, 13/04/2017 88034, 10/04/2019 88309, 09/06/2020 88440, 16/07/2021 88475, 19/07/2023 88700. In January 2006, the car had been left standing for some time by its then owner, and it was sold to Clarkes Jaguar in Heathfield who carried out some restoration work including sill repairs, a full respray plus a full wax oil of the underside. Photographs are included within the documentation held with the car showing the work. The car was bought in April 2006 and remained in the care of this owner for 18-years until March 2024. During the latter stages of the last owners time with the car, it had a full high quality respray in November 2021 due to a few scratches and blemishes that needed to be dealt with. The car is remarkably rust free (which is not always expected on an XJS!). New plugs, HT leads, Distributor cap and rotor arm. New anti-roll bar links, front disc / pads fitted and electrics cleaned and checked. Next MOT due 18/07/2024, Full service history, Green, 5+ owners, £12,000
