Audi Coupe 2.3E 1989 long MOT - daily driver - project - salvage - repairs. It comes with the log book, long MOT until 20/09/2024, one key and a few receipts for some new parts fitted over the last few years. The log book states only 3 former keepers (4 in total) and the last change of keeper was on 27/11/2014. The wheels are 17" non genuine items & there is a JVC stereo / CD player. The car is in fair condition & could be driven away although it has a fairly bad leak from a steering pipe. It starts and drives fine & the only other notable mechanical issue is a 'squidgy' clutch pedal. It works OK and has been like it for as long as I can remember but it feels like the hydraulic system is less than perfect. The engine and gearbox are excellent & there are no wheel bearing or other noises when driving. Body condition can probably be best described as fair. The paint on the roof and top of the rear spoiler is crazed, there are scratches to the lower n/s/f door, the mirrors are scratched / stone chipped, the rear bumper has a crack on top, the lower door mouldings are deteriorated and detaching & the front windscreen is delaminating down the sides. The front seats, rear seats & carpets are excellent for age & have no rips or holes. The dash is also excellent. Previous attempts have been made to reupholster / stick the material back on to the front door panels with limited success. The rear quarter interior panels initially look good to the eye but on closer inspection the vinyl is lifting around the edges to the rear of the panels. The rear corners of the headlining are coming away and flapping down a little and one corner (noticeable from the underside) of the rear parcel shelf is deteriorating away. Things that don't work: Rear wiper, speedo / mileometer, central locking, n/s electric mirror only moves side to side, o/s electric window is temperamental (regulator is OK. Switch or motor has an intermittent fault). Confirmation of things that do work: Heater & blower in all directions. All Lights, horn, n/s electric window, electric tilt / slide sunroof, all door locks & the boot lock, rear washer, front wipers / washers, o/s mirror. Receipts: 2023 battery, 2022 exhaust rubber, sump gasket (also had new oil and filter then (24/5/2022)), all four front subframe bushes, all four front wishbone bushes. 2019: 2 front suspension top mounts, 2 front inner brake hoses, 2 rear axle bushes, 1 exhaust rubber, second hand engine ECU Next MOT due 20/09/2024, No service history, Blue, 3 owners, £1,200
