Description

Alas, after 5yrs of ownership I am selling my beautiful 3.2 Carrera in order to fund my 912-based restomod project. I wish I didn't have to as I've loved owning this, my 2nd 3.2 Carrera, and I consider it an investment grade car because of its condition, mileage and history that has appreciated in value during my ownership and I expect will continue to do so. The car is in fantastic, original, unrestored condition. Its clearly been cherished all its life; being a cabriolet its more likely to have been used for high days and holidays rather than a daily driver. You might not think you want a cabriolet but unless you were going to aggressively race this car on a track you will not notice any alleged lack of stiffness in the body and with the roof down the flat six is wonderfully present (even compared to just having the roof up). It really is an amazing, addictive sound. As a result, I never turn the radio on. The service history is complete (onto a 2nd book now) with a mixture of OPC and marque specialists. There's a large file of invoices too and a Porsche COA. Highlights from the history include: a) stainless Sports Exhaust fitted 2010, b) new Clutch in 2011 (only ~9k miles ago), c) full underbody Waxoyl treatment in 2011, d) new Hood in 2012, e) Porsche Classic Radio+SatNav Head unit fitted in 2017, f) Rear suspension refurbished in 2020 - new shocks, bushes, etc. The paintwork is in excellent condition having benefitted from a full professional detailing (invoice present) and meticulously looked after by me with the two bucket wash method. There are no swirls in the paint and it really pops. The full leather interior is in great condition. Only a very light patina and certainly no damage of any kind. The underside is almost as good as the topside, it is mint. I spent two winters underneath the car completely refreshing the whole underside even though it was mostly excellent already, really benefitting from 13yrs of full Waxoyl treatment. The handful of areas where the underseal was coming away were cleaned back, any light surface rust converted, primed, painted, undersealed and Waxoyled. I hand applied black Waxoyl to the entire underside which works really nicely by being absorbed into the existing coating. Next MOT due 28/05/2025, White, 5+ owners, £53,000
