Lovely A2 1.4 petrol in the rare deep green metallic, ULEZ approved for London, with lots of money spent in the past six months. MOT until April 2025, new alternator, battery, timing belt and tensioner bearing, water pump, aux belt, rear brake shoes, handbrake mechanism and a full service all done within the last 3 months/2,000 miles. Drives tight and solid, gets great mileage and cruises happily at 70+ on the motorway. A2s are great! Three keys, part service history with invoices for recent spend, original books etc. Four seater, includes the optional spare wheel and boot false floor (remove the spare wheel/floor for 6" extra boot depth), and cargo blind. Back seats also come out to make a small van. There are a few small marks/lacquer peel on the paintwork but it still presents really well, usual wear around the interior, and the key fobs intermittently don't work. My mechanic tells me it needs a new driver's door latch to fix this (about 70 quid + fitting) but the keys still work in the door just fine, so I haven't yet had it fixed. The early 1.4 petrol is the most reliable A2, avoiding the inlet manifold problems of the more complex FSi 1.6 and EGR/turbo problems of the diesels. I'd always wanted to try an A2 and purchased this in January from an older gentleman to use as our third car. He'd barely used it since the pandemic started, so I got it mechanically ready to be reliable for a big regular commute, but we've since decided to move back to Australia for family reasons.
