For sale is my 1973 VW 1303 beetle (significant as being the first year the 1303 was introduced!) The car was a nut and bolt rebuild back in 2014 including a full respray into the current red. The car has been through some colour iterations in its time, before red it was electric purple and originally registered as orange. It traded hands to a chap in 2017 who unfortunately could not use it and it sat in a garage before I purchased the car in August 2021. I have been working abroad the past few years so again the car has been unused and sat under a dust sheet in a garage. So it's about time it went to a new, loving home where it can get to see the sun! The car has been periodically ran in during my ownership but there has been very little to take care of mechanically, namely just servicing and general maintenance. The car comes with some sympathetic additions including, electronic fuel pump under the tank, hard start relay, and a Sony bluetooth radio and parcel shelf speakers. I have rebuild the solex 30 pict 3 carburettor, replaced the 037 distributor with the correct dcva 009, reinstalled a correct dry particle air filter, changed the oil and filter, new bosche w8a spark plugs and replaced inline fuel filters and installed a new battery.
