For anyone who doesn't know, the Mitsubishi Colts up until 2008 and in the diesel model are highly sought after, as they are brilliant on fuel (60+ mpg on a long run and 50+ mpg around town) and are super reliable. The Japanese reliability means it starts every time whatever the weather. Parts are relatively cheap and servicing these cars isn't expensive either. This car had its MOT 2 months ago and has an MOT until June 2025. These Mitsubishis which have a Mercedes engine in them will comfortably do 200,000 miles, so there is good life left in this car. Cheap to tax (14 a month) and not expensive to insure either (circa 330 a year), these cars are amazing value for money. We have had four of them now as we love them so much. My wife has owned this car since it had 37,000 miles on the clock, and it now has 121,000 and counting on. She has loved clocking up 84,000 miles in it over 5 years of ownership. There are a few niggly suspension noises which will need looking at and I would imagine that new drop links front and back should do the job. The car comes with two keys although the central locking doesn't work, you have to manually lock the car by the front door lock. The rear off side window doesn't open either. The on board computer in the middle of the dashboard only tells the time with no extra information about fuel MPG and range left in tank etc. This could be an easy fix for someone. The rear wiper is currently not working, probably a loose wire at the back. As you will see from the photos, the interior is not brilliant, with the bolster on the driver's seat now ripped. I would imagine a new set of seat covers for the new owner will do just fine. For someone looking for a cheap, reliable little runner, this Mitsubishi Colt offers just that.
