Description

I bought this Land Rover Series 2a in 2003, 21 years ago! At that time it had done in the region of 18,000 miles, and it has the original engine and gearbox. I have both a hard top as shown in the photos, a set of hoops and a canvas top, so the vehicle can be used as a soft top in the summer and the hard top put on for the winter. The sides on the canvas can be rolled up, so that the canvas becomes a canopy. I have a full set of 4 spare rims, a spare tyre and rim, and lots of other parts, accesories and manuals. The origonal patina paintwork shows the history of the vehicle. It has the original Series hinges, the symbol of the Series IIa club, and the red paintwork showing through with the crest shows its origin as a Fite Brugade vehicle from I think Devon and Somerset, but if you know more please let me know. Fully restored, these sell for as much at 39,000, and this vehicle because of it's original condition, would make a good basis or a full restoration. Unfortunately due to a terminal condition caused by the 1980's contaminated blood scandal, I need to pass the project onto someone who appreciates the history and will maintain or restore the vehicle. Viewing welcome, I am located close to M11 J8 Stansted Airport. Green, £7,500
