Description

180bhp K-Series VVC engine, set up for a taller driver (I am 6 ft 5 and fit comfortably). Lowered floor on drivers side, removable steering wheel, adjusted pedal spacing allows use of regular shoes. I never planned to sell this car - it is immaculate. My pride and joy. But with the arrival of a newborn, I just can't find enough time to use it. So reluctantly it should go to a new home. The car has been maintained meticulously for all of its life and wants for nothing. It started out as an Academy race car with a 1.6 K Series, built by a race team for a tall driver. The team kept everything perfect, including reconditioning the 5 speed gearbox. The second owner was an aircraft engineer with incredible attention to detail who made various upgrades. He upgraded the brakes to 4 pot calipers with great stopping power and replaced the 1.6 engine with a 1.8 K-Series VVC engine. This engine had done ~60,000 miles before he completely rebuilt it. Following the rebuild, he only did around 3,000 miles in the car, using it only for occasional track use among his 6 car collection. I bought the car in October 2022 and made various changes to make it work really well for touring. I added in the wiper kit, replaced the roll cage with a trackday roll bar, upgraded the headlights to Cafe Racer LEDs (a must for touring), replaced tillet seats with very comfy cloth seats, added a set of wheels with Rainexpert tyres and added a USB charge point. My wife and I drove over 4,000 miles in the car last year through The Alps for our honeymoon - it didn't miss a beat. It really was the most epic travel companion we could have wished for. I very much hope it goes to another enthusiast owner. Next MOT due 11/09/2024, Full service history, Blue, 4 owners, £16,995
