Description

Land Rover Defender 110 TD5 2005 (54 Plate)135k Miles and MOT till July, so low mileage for this age of defender with the low road tax band.Very distinctive Stornoway Grey defender, purchased in 2015 from a friend who had the vehicle since 2012, a well-maintained Lex Lease vehicle which has been serviced and MOT'd by a local land rover specialist.Fitted out as a weekend camper but only had minimal use over the last few years due to work commitments and now owning 3 dogs, which changes the type of vehicle I can use.The car has sawtooth alloys, half leather XS model seats and leather steering wheel, a substantial hydraulic PTO front winch (oil tank in rear) which I've never had to use but could be removed and if not required. Mobile storage systems security cubby box, OX high quality front and rear doors stainless hinges, very expensive but a worth while upgrade. I was future proofing the car as I intended to use as a full overland vehicle, but my dogs have thrown a spanner in those plans. Most other parts I could change to stainless have been done (mudflaps, vent pins etc)The extras the car comes with are a Terrafirma alloy roof rack, Hannibal roof tent, ARB side and rear awnings, Mobile storage systems rear pull out drawer, with the rear interior soundproofed/insulated and fitted out for storage of camping gear. I also had the side gull-wing locker fitted and turned this into a small Gin bar, which is fantastic on a summer evening under the awning! The cost for these upgrades is quite substantial but they have created a very practical vehicle which could be used as an every day driver if you have space to remove and store the roof rack set up?I also have a large ex-military box on the back door for firewood and a box mounted internally which I used for food storage and camp kitchen equipment, again these can be easily removed if you would like to install a bed set-up. The spare wheel is new and mounted internally to prevent theft but can be easily re-mounted on the rear door.I have had the land rover bug for many years, and it is with a heavy heart I am listing my 110 for sale but the reality is I will need to look at a twin-cab option to best suit my needs. The vehicle has no warranty implied as I am not a mechanic, but it has never let me down in my ownership, the underside is solid as it was wax-oiled 2 years ago, but it could do with a steam clean and re-wax. Next MOT due 26/06/2024, Medium wheel-base, Grey, 2 owners, £19,900, No VAT
