For sale, Land Rover® Series 2a Ragtop in Marine Blue (1962). , Petrol 2286cc. MOT and Tax Exempt. Seven Seats including driver. Weber Carburettor. Heater with demist. Sun Visors. Free Wheeling Hubs. 12V Charging Socket. Rear Mudflaps. Rear Step., We are delighted to present for sale this early. Land Rover® Series 2a, in popular ragtop configuration, which we have had the pleasure of selling before in 2018. Due to a change of circumstances for the current owner, we are now able to offer this vehicle for sale once again. This vehicle still sports the ‘three letters, three numbers’ registration of pre-1964 vehicles, which is now becoming increasingly desirable amongst enthusiasts. This is because the registration is dateless – we don’t often have vehicles this early with such a good numberplate, and we get asked for these more and more!, Externally, the vehicle is very ‘stock’ – the wing-top mounted mirrors, rear grab handles, vintage number plates, recent canvas, rear mud flaps and rear step all compliment this look well – it looks just as it should with no nasty additions – the only notable modern feature being the 700 tyres (slightly bigger than normal for additional gearing with the period look) and the towball and electrics to allow towing – a handy feature to have. The paintwork is of a good standard, better than we see normally – evidence of a spray painted finish in times’ past. We think it looks just as it should, and hope that a new keeper would agree., The standard feel extends to the interior – there are three front standard seats, with deluxe matting to the footwells. There is a heater fitted with front demist – a very expensive and desirable option both in the time (and today!) to prevent freezing up on the coldest days. There are lots of nice period features too such as the “banjo” steering wheel – replaced with a bakelite variant later in production. The rear is unfitted, with the exception of a load mat to the floor to protect against scratches, and the spare wheel is stowed in the correct place..
