( original invoice and order sheet plus the dealer key fob is with us ) The car spent the first 20 years with the original purchaser in London who had garaged it all those years and only added 9,200 miles in total. The second owner ( a friend of the family and a mechanic/engineer ) acquired it on the 7/7/1996 . Over the years he added enhancements and improvements to the Capri which were all genuine branded products which included- A new twin choke Weber carburettor , inlet manifold , air box and a four branch exhaust manifold , Koni suspension , Ghia alloy wheels and various ford dealer parts . The original parts that were taken off were kept and are with us . Also with the car comes various spares , spark plugs , belts , gaskets , filters , bulbs etc which the owner amassed with some kept in the boot in case of emergency. The owner was very meticulous about his pride and joy . While in his ownership the Capri was always garaged , protected and cherished . The underside was wax oiled and under sealed which has preserved it as new . There has never been any welding or repairs to the underside and does not require any (we have images of this area to show how good it is ) The exterior is excellent with only a couple minor marks . The interior is immaculate with none of the usual baggy seats and no wear on the bolsters . The carpet has been protected by Ford rubber mats throughout its life . The owner created a presentation folder which contains all the paperwork from day one . Purchase invoice , Log books , owner's manual , service book and maintenance invoices , MOT certificates , tax discs , instruction leaflets on parts added to the car , spare keys , Capri club magazines with images of the car in and a Ford model catalogue from March 1976 . In April 2022 and after almost 28 years of ownership the time had come to reluctantly let the car go to a new owner , a collector who used it very sparingly.
