Previously sold by us., We are delighted to present for sale (once again) this stunning example of a very rare Land Rover® Series 2a 109 “Dormobile” Conversion. We have had the privilege of selling a couple of these before, over our past years of trading, but this is by far and away the best example we have yet seen… let us describe why!, As can be seen from the photographs, this vehicle has been rebuilt in times past onto a new Galvanised Chassis, along with uprated parabolic springs for better comfort. The rebuild also featured a cosmetic refurbishment and so this vehicle looks as good from the outside as it does underneath. Externally, we have a host of features, some of which are specific to the Dormobile – the pop up roof with windows and opening ventilation -quite often these are in poor condition and are patched and/or leaking – but as this is in excellent and functioning condition, we can only assume it must be replaced. There is a front roof rack fitted for luggage for long trips, side and rear steps for easy access, defender mirrors for better visibility whilst driving, tow bar with electrics, mud flaps, grab handles and auxiliary lighting for the awning section. It also has a superb Turner Winch fitted, should you get caught out when camping further afield! In short, this is a very well appointed and presented Dormobile., The interior follows the same pattern and is equally impressive.
