Description
About as pure and cherished an example as I've ever seen, owned by the last owner for nearly 20 years. A well established BDC member, who exhibited this car at many Bentley events. VIN number CH42018, believed to be the very first Continental R road registered in the UK, first registered 6th January 1992 as a demonstrator to the Rolls Royce Conduit Showrooms, London until September that year. Finished in traditional Bentley Racing Green over Magnolia Hide, most beneficially factory fitted with the earlier engine, so free of any head gasket problems. A discreet Bentley transient boost kit was fitted, boosting engine power to 380 BHP, paralleling the Continental "S" model. This car still retains its original period features such as early wheels, vertical vaned grille, indicators and the original period Alpine sound system. Strangely at just over 30 years old, this car still boasts its factory fresh Connolly hide aroma in abundance. An impeccably presented engine bay, drivetrain and underside match. Fitted with lambs wool over rugs all round, including the boot. A detailed service history has been carefully filed. A comprehensive service was recently carried out at the Bentley specialist, which included brakes, transmission, differential and coolant servicing along with fuel filters changing. What could be more traditional and British than a 2 door Bentley Coupe finished in Racing Green. Being such an early example can only add to the desirability. An extremely sharp and collectable car in every respect. May P/X (Registration excluded) , £42,950
