It has come time to part with my 2011 Ford Smax Titanium X Sport (240), owned for just over 8yrs and no expensive spared, brought at just over 22,000miles and now done just under 118,000 miles. Up until 107,000miles that car was fantastic, regular servicing (including the powershift unit) and it was a dream until the dreaded Eco went Bhoom!! Not knowing what to do and really needing a second car I decided to keep the old girl and get a new engine, so the car went up to Puma Speed for a brand new ford unit (receipts for proof), prior to the car going up the Turbo was removed and sent up to Midland Turbos for a full rebuild, after 10 days she was back to full working order however I was then worried about the powershift until so I decided to have this fully rebuilt by "the gearbox centre" and they did a fantastic job she now runs a dream. (12,000miles/1yr warranty on the gearbox). Other bits done in my ownership - Westfalia detachable tow bar fitted, Referb wheels - using 2k, New washer pump unit, New Horn(s), Trailing arm bush (passenger side), and the usual brakes (uprated fronts) and tyres. The car has been well maintained and has been a part of the family for a long time, just now time for something smaller and for the Smax to have a new home. MOT - 26-07-25.
