Few stone chips around the front as you would expect of a 16yr old luxury motorway cruiser. Lovely old luxury boat. Starts and drives fab. Really smooth over the road and lovely precise gear changes. Quick too. Quick enough in comfort mode but accelerates right through the rev range in sport mode. Air suspension works as it should and car maintains its ride height. I absolutely love this car and to be honest if I had the room on the drive I'd keep it just for the comfort on longer journeys. Selling as I've taken the plunge and bought a new fully electric vehicle, and just don't have the space. Bad bits:A common problem on many mercs of this age is failure of the amplifier/tuner in the boot and they are around 1200-1500 to replace used. So what the previous owner has done is retrofit an aftermarket amp and updated screen so the car now has both DAB radio and Apple car play. The new screen is an android tablet device so if you want to use its inbuilt sat nav it'll need a sim card - I've always used Apple Maps through my phone via the Apple car play- and of course you could then download any apps etc that you want - like iptv maybe?As is usually the case this means the reversing camera is now redundant. As are a few of the buttons on and around the dashboard. Never bothered me - happily give up a bit of function for the dab and car play. (I have read online a workaround for the camera but it involves complicated auto electrics that would be beyond my expertise)There is a fault showing on diagnostic for a sensor under passenger seat - but the car recognises when it's occupied so it's not desperate. In fact I'd not even bother looking at it. Parking sensors have recently failed and I have traced it to a faulty module behind drivers trim in boot/trunk. A refurbed used one costs about 100-150. As I'm selling I'm not bothering to do it so I've priced the car to cover this cost (was looking for 5k). There is nothing else. The car is super. Test drives will need to prove relevant insurance cover but I'd be happy to take any interested parties out for a spin.
