My very well-kept Mercedes 190e 2 litre petrol automatic. Bought in Staines-upon-Thames in June 2021 at 75,000 miles, I've added 45,000 happy miles swishing up and down the motorway between Belfast and Tipperary. The car has a good, but not complete, service history. Since 2021 it has been maintained by Philip Kennedy of Merc-Tech on the Kennedy Way Industrial Estate. No expense has been spared, and it has been serviced twice a year, though I haven't been keeping the receipts I should. It had a full fluids service and new hoses when I took the car over. The only things that came up in the MOTs while I've had the car have been the exhaust system, which has now been completely replaced, and a stuck brake caliper, also replaced. It had a new battery in Summer 2023, a reconditioned alternator installed last December, and a second-hand gearbox (from a car that had only done 40,000) installed just this month, as well as new plugs and leads. The car is running well, and went on a successful 400 mile motorway trip after the gearbox was installed. The car has no rust that I can see, and only very minor scratches, etc., to paintwork. It is very original - original Blaupunkt radio (with functioning extendable antenna), original first-aid pack, etc. Front tyres new last year, rear tyres fine. This is a lovely car to drive. It sails down the motorway and easily keeps up with the traffic. It's a great city car because it is narrow and visibility is excellent: this makes driving in Belfast traffic almost relaxing!
