Henry' has been my pride and joy since 1998. Just one owner before that. Only 600 of this edition were made and I read that probably less than 300 survive. The mk1 is becoming a modern classic. It was used daily for several years and always reliable and fun to drive but latterly only used for a few hundred miles per year. Garaged throughout, undersealed since I had it, serviced regularly; last full service 1800 miles ago and all in full working order. I did have electric windows, alarm and central locking fitted and since (2012), it's had a new soft-top with glass screen; but it's largely as original. Timing belt last replaced 2015 at 108k. A full restoration job in 2017 (by MX5-City), replaced all corroded wings, sills, etc, Waxyol, wheel refurb and respray. And only 5k miles since then ! Bodywork remains in excellent condition, with no rust, dents, etc. Also includes hood tonneau cover. All MOT & service documents available. Recent MOT, 12 March. No advisories. Henry's still a joy to drive but with other activities, I get/take so little chance, that he's feeling lonely and unloved. Will probably appreciate in value in future, but needs someone who will appreciate and enjoy it more regularly. Insurance agreed valuation 4000 and you'll gather this is a slightly reluctant sale, so I'll only let it go for a figure close to that.
