1987 Mercedes Benz 190E automatic, finished in rare willow green metallic with cream cloth interior. The car has had only two owners from new, the first until 2000 and the second, known to us, until he gave up driving in his nineties a few years ago. We have the original sales invoice from MB dealer reliance of Chingford showing a number of factory fitted extras, apart from the automatic gearbox and metallic paint the car has anti-lock brakes, electric sunroof, electric windows, alloy wheels, rear headrests and front centre armrest, and even illuminated vanity mirrors! The car is not immaculate or perfect by any means but is a good original useable example that would benefit from having attention paid to some areas in the future. The car has never had any welding repairs or advises at MOT but the paintwork on many panels has lacquer lifting in places and there is a small area of rust on the top of the front passenger door (see photo). There are some stone chips and scratches as well. The interior is bright and clean and mostly in excellent original condition, especially the seats and carpets. The areas to highlight are that all four interior door trim panels are lifting at the top (a common 190 issue, see photos), the headlining has dropped slightly where it meets the windscreen, and the driver's seat backrest has a small amount of wear on the edge from getting in and out of the car. Additionally the rear electric windows are not currently working. The boot interior is very clean and under the bonnet all is as it should be for a thirty six year old car. The car drives very well with the gearbox working as it should, and it had a full service and front brake pads replaced in May 2023. The MOT runs until May 2025.The mileage showing is just under 53000, however we cannot guarantee that this is correct as the MOT history shows the same mileage for a number of years, although the speedometer and mileage recorder are working perfectly now.
