They replaced the cambelt and water pump using a genuine VW kit, flushed the cooling system and replaced with the correct coolant. While that work was performed they rectified a leak from the crankshaft by fitting a new genuine VW seal and that was all that was needed to make it mechanically perfect - we have a bill for 750 pounds with our trade discount. Prior to that I knew the car from nearly new. First owner was VW UK then it was bought from VW Harrogate by a mature friend at six months old and 8000 miles. He was a trained mechanic and serviced it himself and kept all the receipts which will be supplied to new owner though he paid VW to do a gearbox oil change, receipt supplied. He added a further 120,000 miles then sold it to me when his Mk8 TDI Estate arrived in late 2023. It was a project car for my YouTube channel before I let it go & happily bought it back. Bodywork is incredibly tidy, aside from some minor wear to the drivers seat upper bolster the interior is as new, wheels were refurbished in early 2024 in durable silver by Prestige Wheel Centre.
