This is a very clean car which has mainly been used as a school pick-up and shopping car by my wife for the last 15 years (it was previously a VW ex-demonstrator but otherwise its a single owner vehicle). The engine is in excellent condition as can be seen from the photo of the exhaust (I did not clean these, that's how they are). It has some minor chips and scuffs and the wheels have some corrosion which I have shown in the pictures. It is a powerful car which has been typically driven at a fraction of its capabilities. It has been maintained by a local garage who check it thoroughly at each MOT and work has been carried out as required. There are some scuffs and slight bumper misalignment at the rear driver side where it was backed at slow speed into a neighbours car door, and there are two chips on the roof where it caught the garage door (see pictures). Both should be easily fixed if the buyer chooses. The only reason I am selling is that we are now on the edge of the ULEZ zone and so have to pay a penalty charge everytime my wife wants to go shopping. I have replaced it with a 1.2L Polo which is underwhelming in comparison, but meets our needs. I would much prefer to keep the Golf as it is a much higher spec car and I expect it has many tens of thousands of miles left in it, but the ongoing charges have become tedious.
