Description

1996 Volvo 850R Wagon 83, 000 km's, which equates to around 55, 000 miles. Will be ULEZ/ LEZ exempt in Scotland in a year and a half time. Fresh jap import which just arrived a few Month ago. Been kept in storage since. Now fully UK registered MOT'd and ready to go. This is an honest car and for complete transparency I'm selling it in the exact condition its arrived in. In its original sun damaged state. The red paint work has faded, the worst areas being the roof, bonnet and tops of the two front wings. The rest of the paint works seems like it just needs some good paint correction and detailing. I don't wish to paint it, purely for the reason that people automatically assume that a cars either been in a smash or that you're trying to hide something. Also I'm of the opinion that original paint is always best and as much originality as possible should try and be retained. As the car has come from Japan, it has thus far managed to escape the pearls of rust and corrosion. So although the car is 28 years old on paper, it's undercarriage and chassis and core structure are the equivalent of only being 4-5 years old, due to it being so well preserved. To give you some perspective, it still has the original exhaust and brake pipes fitted to it from 1996!New performance cross drilled & grooved brake discs and pads were fitted all round at the time of mot. The leather interior is in really good condition for 28 years of age without any rips or tears. The engine bay is once again rust free, and bone dry and free of any oil leaks or smoke. Comes with the original Volvo double din stereo, however will only pick up one UK radio station due to bandwidth.17" Volans. original spare wheel No service history came with the car, however many in the UK are unaware that in japan Independent garages for foreign vehicles are very rare, therefore all mechanical repairs and maintenance work must be carried out at dealerships, even MOT's (Japanese shaken) are carried out at dealerships.as a result if a car requires a part to be replaced, then it must be replaced with an OE part from the dealership. The car starts up on first turn of the key and idles nicely. Car pulls like it should on a nice stretch of road and shows no signs of hesitation. True Appreciating classic! Next MOT due 27/02/2025, Red, 1 owner, £11,995
