Description
Bowler exterior conversion, lots of Optimill parts, stainless steel bolt refresh, no advisories on last MOT, full LED light overhaul including Lazer spots. Lovely example of a late Defender 90. Car was initially a Forestry Commission vehicle down in South Wales (with paper work to support). The car was stolen and recovered and subsequently bought in 2020 and lived alongside 18 Land Rovers in a private collection in the Scottish Isles. This is where the first stage of works was conducted. This included - chequer plate to the bonnet, black canvas roof, Thomas Performance Headlights, Wipac LED's all round, Optimill wing mirror arms, Optimill windscreen blocks, re-trimmed seats in black leather with grey quilted suede, KBX front light surrounds and vents, as well as a general refresh. I purchased the vehicle in November 2022. In my ownership the car has received a service every 6 months, with the last being carried out in April this year. In addition to this, the windscreen wiper system has been completely replaced with new drive boxes and motor by a local specialist at the start of this year. As well as this maintenance, other upgrades have been made. These include, Momo Prototipo steering with with removable Optimill boss (and orange Optimill lock to match), full stainless steel bolt conversion, 125mm Focal speakers added to rear with Mud Stuff surrounds to suit. Most notably in August 2023 the exterior of the vehicle underwent an exterior Bowler conversion. This included front bumper, steering guard, side sills, Lazer LED spot lights, 4 x 16 inch Bowler wheels with brand new Goodyear MT/R Wrangler tires fitted. The car has been fantastic to me, never letting me down in my 18 months of ownership. It's been used mainly for climbing trips around the UK, where the ability to fill it full of gear, and reliably make it to different locations around the country has been invaluable. As a result, I'm in no rush to sell, but have genuine reason to as I'm looking to get into something else. Next MOT due 31/10/2024, Part service history, Short wheel-base, Silver, 3 owners, £22,750, No VAT
