1995 X300 XJ6 Sovereign 4.0 litre, MoT until July 2025. This Jag is in very good mechanical condition and is in daily use with no issues. She drives perfectly, and is extremely comfortable with only 82k miles. The interior is in great condition with electric seats, cruise control, and very handy parking sensors fitted from a later Jaguar XJ model. It has had lots of tuning-up work done to the engine recently to get it running perfectly, and is now more smooth than ever. New coils and spark plugs, temperature sensors, crank sensor, oxygen sensors, a new exhaust section, new oil and filter, a throttle body clean, fuel injector clean, a computer reset and new ECU have all brought the engine back to its best, with vastly improved power delivery, responsiveness, and fuel economy. The engine is powerful and smooth, the gearbox changes up almost unnoticeably and kicks down perfectly in both Normal and Sport modes, and the steering and braking are spot on with no knocks, rattles, or shuddering. Being a top-spec Sovereign with the more powerful 4 litre inline six cylinder AJ16 engine choice it really is a tremendously luxurious and relaxing experience. It's lovely to drive both on long motorway runs where it will return 30 MPG, or quietly and effortlessly cruising around town. The car has a very solid underside with only some lacquer peel and a few marks from its near three decades of use letting it down. It was a Category D writeoff in 1998, with plenty of trouble free use since then I can only assume it was very minor damage. Certainly now there is no indication of anything out of the ordinary besides the usual age related marks. I'm only selling this car as I am shortly moving house and will no longer have the space to keep it, so I need to replace it with a smaller car. I have very much enjoyed owning and driving this supremely comfortable old Jag to work every day, and taking it on long weekend trips around the country covering several hundred motorway miles with ease. I will be sorry to see it go, it is by far the most pleasant and classically comfortable car I have driven, even more so than the final generation of XJ. A perfectly usable modern classic.
