Stunning example of a well cared for 1.6L Eunos MX-5 Mk1. 81,087 miles (listing is in km). The car was manufactured in 1991 in Japan and imported to the UK in 1998. The current owner (my grandmother) bought the car in 1998 from the lady who imported it. The car therefore has just one previous UK owner who only had the car for a few months before the current owner purchased it. Since then it has been solely owned by a mature lady driver who has cared for it meticulously. Always driven sensibly and regularly serviced with full MOT history. Current MOT is good until June 2025. The car lives in the garage and has done for the last 25 years. The cills and arches were all protected in 1998 and as such the body work is excellent with no rust and only minor scratches (as expected for a 33 year old car). For the past 25 years the car has only been driven for 6 summer months of the year (owner drives a different car in winter). During winter the car is stored in the garage and periodically started to keep the engine and battery running smoothly. The car received a new soft top in 2013 which is still in excellent condition, and the only other modifications are a new JVC Radio/CD which was installed by a professional in 2022, and modern brighter headlamps to assist with night driving (original ones we're fine but not as bright as modern lamps). Consumables such as hoses, brakes etc have been replaced as need by a professional garage. In previous months the car has overheated a few times, never critically and only noticeable on the temperature dial. The car had a repair to the expansion tank as soon as the issue started occurring, which we have receipts for, but has not been driven enough since the repair to know if it was successful. For the last 10 years the car has rarely travelled further than the local supermarket. Other than that the car drives great! The only other item of note is that the original aerial is missing, however the new radio still works fine. There's a little plastic cap on where the aerial was to stop water getting in The car is currently SORN'd as the owner has recently consolidated her two cars, into one modern MX-5 which will be driven all year round.
