Description
I am reluctantly selling my 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STi which I have owned for almost 6 years. It is an excellent high performance machine and is incredibly fun to drive and is becoming a popular car among collectors and car enthusiasts alike. It has been well looked after, only using 99 octane fuel and getting it serviced 3 times a year (about every 2500 miles) and have the full service history to prove it. I also run the car for a few minutes before driving it to allow the oil to warm up a bit, don't take it over 3000RPM for the first 10 minutes of driving and let it run for a couple of minutes afterwards to allow the oil cooled turbo to cool to avoid leaving excess heat in it, this is all optional but is done by some Subaru owners to decrease the likelihood of major issues with the turbo or engine later on in the car's life. From the factory the car has the Prodrive Performance Pack, an optional extra which Prodrive fitted which takes the power output of the car from 285BHP to 316BHP, and drops the 0-60 time from 5.2 seconds to 4.8 seconds. It does this with a larger fuel pump, a high flow sports catalytic converter (rather than the 2 catalytic converters in non-PPP STIs), cat-back Prodrive exhaust system and a tune. I have the certificate of authenticity to show that this came with the car rather than being added later. More information about that can be found here- car also has a short shifter upgrade fitted as an optional extra, in addition to being a widetrack version of the car, offering more stable handling at high speeds.I intended to keep the car stock however when purchased it already had a subwoofer in the boot and a different radio/head unit, along with the grille from an RB320 (similar model). a few years ago the plastic top of the radiator split, and I understand this is a common problem and so to avoid a repeat incident an all aluminium Mishimoto radiator was fitted, along with some silicone pipes to replace rubber hoses which were starting to show signs of age. The car also had a suspension problem which I understand is also common on this model and seems to happen to them all eventually and so to solve that and prevent it reoccuring a set of TEIN coilovers were fitted, however I still believe this car is best kept as close to stock as possible and believe the spec of mine reflects that.If you have any questions or would like to view the car, please email me. Next MOT due 14/12/2024, Black, 5+ owners, £13,900
