Description

R57 Mini Cooper S turbocharged 1.6L petrol convertible. Good condition inside and out. Well looked after, never crashed etc It's a late 58 plate, but one of the first examples of the 2009 R57, which if you are looking at this you will likely know is the far superior car to the first convertible version that suffered with the huge roll headers in the back that weren't hydraulic like they are on the R57 and the visibility was rubbish. It's been a great daily driver / runaround for the past few years, it brings a massive smile to the kids face when you put the roof down in the sunshine, it handles superbly in town and on B roads/motorway, and is generally lots of fun to drive. It's far and away the best value 'hot hatch' on the market. This is a high spec example, that I'm only selling as I have taken on a company car from work, and no longer need a private vehicle. I've done school runs and long trips in it and it is always a good drive - plenty of pull if you need to overtake on a motorway, and solid and stable handling at low speeds around town. The MPG efficiency is ridiculously good compared to anything else in the 'hot hatch' market. The good bits:12 months MOT!Roof is solid with no leaks. Tyres are premium Pirelli model with good tread left. full service history with various receipts and recent work done including: New alternator in 2020. New clutch, VVT solenoid, flywheel and cam chain tensioner in 2023 2 keys HPI clear The best design of larger alloys that are available on the range The best colour of the range IMOFull leather seats front and back Xenon lights Electric Mirrors CD player/radio Rear Parking sensors Heated rear windscreen Engine start/stop in traffic ABS 'Sport mode' if you wanted to burn petrol and maybe lose licence Sports exhaust. The bad bits:3 MOT advisories for 1. mild oil leak 2. Rear springs starting to corrode 3. Rear brake discs starting to show signs of wear Some bird excrement marks on the roof.If you look back through the MOT history online you'll see it has been clear of major issues, and the common 100k issues around cam chain tensioner, VVT, alternator and clutch have all been done. Next MOT due 11/10/2025, Silver, 5+ owners, £2,200
