Description

Hi, Welcome to the sale of my Honda Accord Type R CH1,I have owned the car for 3 years, Reluctantly I have decided to sell due to a career change and having a family I don't have enough spare time to work on the car. The car currently has 98485 miles - due to change as I do drive the car now and again. In my ownership I have spent north of 5000 in the view to getting the car rust proofed for future years plus any mechanical work the car needs to ensure reliability. I had a car restoration company called Project Heaven carry out the rustproofing work to increase the longevity of the car. I was very picky with who did the work as I normally carry out the majority of work myself. I chose this company as they specialise in bespoke classic car nut and bolt restorations and they really know what they are doing. The work I had carried out is as follows: Rear subframe replaced and painted in etch primer then Raptor chassis paint. The underside of the car also was cleaned and any rust removed and also painted in etch primer then raptor paint. Suspension links removed and painted hardrace polybushes fitted to all rear links with adjustable camber arms as these were cheaper than original. Front rh arch seam rust treated, resealed and raptor painted. Blemishes repaired on rear quarters. Weather strip around rear arches prone to holding moisture - removed, etch primed and raptor painted. Quarter panels, boot lid, rear bumper and rear doors resprayed I have carried out the following; Replaced timing belt, balance shaft belt and water pump with blueprint quality parts. Replaced coolant with genuine Honda coolant. Fitted k tuned manual tensioner as these auto belt tensioners can fail early. Replaced rear shock absorbers. Return metal power steering pipe replaced as the old one was corroded as advised on the MOT for the oil leak power steering fluid renewed with OEM Honda only. The car also had a recall on the Drivers Airbag which has been replaced by Marshall Honda. Honda carried out a VHC which raised the air con as it hasn't been recharged as of yet and the brakes as the car had been stood whilst the restoration work was carried out The exterior and interior of the car is clean and tidy with the worst damage being on the front bumper- only minor scrapes which can be easily repaired. After having the major work carried out the car only needs superficial work to get it back to its former glory. Next MOT due 22/04/2025, Black, 5+ owners, £8,750
