1988 VOLVO 760 GLE ESTATE AUTOMATIC The car is 36 years old. First registered 10th October 1988 Mileage Just over 99000 This model was equipped with the 170bhp V6 engine, three speed automatic gearbox with overdrive. (This is the B280E engine and is the updated version with the front mounted distributor and later electronic injection (earlier V6s were mechanical injection) There are about 57 of this model taxed and MOT in the UK. I purchased the car in early May 2024 to tow my classic Carlight caravan. It was Dry stored from September 2016 to March 2022. This car has been well maintained and looked after in its lifetime, It has not been restored just serviced. I drove it home from near Gatwick to Cornwall about 270 miles and it didn't miss a beat. It drives like its 5 - 10 years old. The engine is sweet. The interior is as good as you will get. This is one of the best auto gearboxes I have had. Electric windows all round, Central locking, Electric driver's seat, both front seats heated, tyres are very good all round almost new, The air conditioning works really well, All four calipers were replaced about 2022 by the previous owner. I fitted the tow bar in May 2024, new drive belts and air filter. The original rear lower valance and tow eye as in the photos will come with the car; I have only done three local shows towing the caravan. The service record print out is from 1998 to 2014 by Volvo dealers MRG Volvo Chippenham. Bad bits. The roof lining is sagging this is a known problem with the Volvos of this era, it should glue up ok. The sun roof does not work.
