This is a Land Rover Defender 90 TD5 XS first registered 31/05/2005 which I purchased from local Land Rover dealer as an ex-demonstration unit on 05/10/2005 with 4,100 miles on the clock. It's the standard XS specification with 2.5 (2495 cc) diesel engine with CO2 emissions of 282 G/KM. It has not been modified, raced or taken part in off road eventing. I have been the sole driver of this vehicle since I purchased it and it has only done 37500 miles. I have listed all it's good and bad points so that you are fully aware of it's true condition. Have just fitted a new 12v battery and have full-service history and repair details since purchased. It had a service and MOT. on the 04/06/24.The body colour is Tonga/Green (metallic) and the trim County Grey (leather/ripstop). It has three doors and a total of six seats, standard features for XS include ABS, electric front windows, air conditioning, heated front seats, radio and CD player (bit dated by modern standards), alarm, central locking, alloy wheels, power assisted steering, heated front and rear screens etc. There are no warning lights showing and the only thing I would note is that when turning left the indicator does not always auto cancel if it's not a 90-degree turn. The tyres are original and should last for another 12000 miles (subject to how one drives). Spare wheel (for which there is a cover) has never been used. Plus, the unused tool kit as supplied when new with the vehicle. There are a few marks on the body work and slight damage on the rear near side which I did some time ago (see picture). I have the rear step, but it is not fitted as it gets in my way when towing a trailer and I forget to close it. I would invest in one of the new design rear bumper/steps if I was keeping it. Internally everything is in good order other than the rear roof section which is starting to sag. Ideally this should be replaced. (This is a common problem, over time condensation on the underside of the roof weakens the material and it sags). There are now plastic moulded sections which don't sag for around 400 plus fitting and when replacing this, owners also line the roof to reduce the condensation and noise. The only non-Land Rover components fitted to this vehicle are the rear mud flaps and the spare wheel cover otherwise it's all as the original specification.
