Description

This car came off the production line at Longbridge at 4:00pm on 23rd March 2005 - just two weeks before MG Rover folded. Held back by the receivers until autumn 2006, when released it was allocated to a dealer in Lurgan, Northern Ireland. It was first registered on 8th November 2006 giving it its '56' plate. I believe only two other examples of this model were registered after this date. The second owner bought the car in March 2010, in August 2013 it was bought at auction and imported to the mainland by a car dealer in Reading. I have owned it since September 2013. As our 'second' car it has had light use during my ownership, covering only 30,000 in eleven years. It has been well looked-after throughout; whenever it has become apparent work has been needed I have arranged immediate professional attention and I have a folder containing receipts etc covering the whole period of my ownership (which will go with the car on its sale). At its most recent M.O.T. (August) no work was needed and there were no "advisories". Also noteworthy is the fact that the car has been enhanced by features such as a full size spare wheel and reversing sensors. Otherwise there are bodywork features that were added by one of the previous owners; for example 'privacy film' on the rear windows and colour matched skirts (see images). I would describe the bodywork as being in very good condition; examination will show there are one or two superficial rust spots but these are not serious and can be dealt with very easily. The ZT-T is now quite a rare car and I believe only ten examples of this variant remain 'on the road'. Models with more powerful engines have tended to be the ones sought-after by MG Rover enthusiasts but I have never felt dissatisfied with the 1.8 'K' series engine and in fact this was the engine recommended at the time by 'What Car' magazine. The mechanics, bodywork and interior are all very good belying the fact that the car is almost twenty years old and I believe potentially it has plenty of miles ahead for its next owner. I have enjoyed owning this car and will remember it with much fondness. Next MOT due 21/08/2025, Silver, 2 owners, £2,200
