Description

With a heavy heart I'm putting my 2001, Facelift M5 up for sale. These E39 M5's are as special as I had hoped, but with family and work commitments, I'm simply not using her enough. With over 4 years of ownership it's time for someone new to get to experience just how amazing these cars are. I had wanted to own this model from the moment it was launched! The big V8, manual gearbox, RWD and stunning looks makes it my all-time favourite BMW. When this example came up for sale I knew it was the one for me. The rare Anthracite grey paint looks amazing, and the black Nappa leather interior finishes it perfectly. The condition of the car is fantastic for its age inside and out. It comes with FSH, having 22 stamps, including the running-in check, plus heaps of maintenance paperwork. The car is always garaged, and only really gets driven in the dry. A previous owner installed some highly sought after Supersprint headers which value at around 3 thousand, along with Brembo big brake upgrade. The car drives great, the engine pulls hard and sounds unbelievably good. I have had the rear back boxes removed to release the V8 soundtrack, it's probably the best money I've ever spent. Although the car sounded nice before, it's transformed it into something sounding more like a supercar. Although loud on the outside, it's fine inside. I do have the back boxes still, so they can go with the car as an extra. On this note, the private plate is staying on the car also. It has Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tyres all round, with plenty of tread. I upgraded the head unit for one which has Bluetooth, but I sourced one from the UK (good for advice)which keeps the OEM appearance. The clutch and duel mass flywheel were replaced a couple of years ago, along with the battery. The prop shaft centre bearing was replaced a few months ago, along with the input and output shaft seals. The rocker cover gasket was replaced earlier this year. The alloys are in good condition , the rear nearside one did get scuffed while having a new tyre fitted, but I just haven't got round to getting it refurbished. The car has been very well cared for in my time, and receives plenty of positive comments when I'm out, which always pleases my kids. I wish I had more spare time to warrant keeping this beast, as this is the best car that I've owned, but it doesn't make sense when it's barely being driven. I'm based in Exeter just off the M5. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me. Pet free, smoke free. Next MOT due 25/04/2025, Full service history, Grey, 5+ owners, £12,950
