I'm selling my 1998 Azure Blue S1 Elise which I have owned since April 2010. The car is an original spec early S1 model, apart from having a cone air filter, some more robust toe-links, and clear headlamp protectors. The car has documentation for services at: 1004 miles, 3023 miles, 4194 miles, 7370 miles, 9491 miles, 34868 miles, 40803 miles, 53873 miles, 57264 miles, 60293 miles, 62704 miles, 65761 miles and 66797 miles. Service work in my ownership has been done by Hexham Horseless Carriages and, most recently, by RB Sportscars. The last service (October 2023) included a gearbox oil change and was part of a larger refresh which included: new S2 springs and dampers, new front suspension mounts, new discs and pads (I have the original MMCs but they need a refurb), new lower rear wishbones, balljoints and bushes, new alternator, new battery, new gearchange and handbrake cables, and full wheel geometry setup. The car has been regularly maintained with a documentation folder recording a selection of wheel bearings, ball joints, drop links, window seals etc. being replaced over the years, as well as a new radiator and, in 2011, a new cylinder-head. I had the wheels refurbished in summer 2024, and I fitted a new set of Toyo tyres at the same time. This has been my third Elise/Exige.
