A stunning, low mileage unmodified 2.2 N/A Vauxhall VX220. 27k miles and owned by me for the last 3 years. I only managed to do 350 miles in the car this year, which is the reason for sale. It's just not being used and needs to go to someone who can enjoy it more than I do. Only ever taken out on dry warm days. The VX is always garaged and on a trickle charger. In the Autumn/Winter, it is stored in an inflatable 'Car Pod' to fully protect it, only coming out when the weather warms up. Comes with a comprehensive service history showing 18 stamps in the book. Stunning Calypso red paintwork - which is completely free from osmosis, which many VX220's suffer with. Has full black leather interior. Had a complete suspension refresh in January 2022 and has done less than 2000 miles since. All consumable parts were replaced using the Elise parts rebuild kit, and any reused parts were stripped and zinc plated. New shocks are not available any more, so a low mileage, excellent condition set of OEM Bilstein shocks were sourced from a member of the VX220 owners forum. Almost all VX220's have either had their suspension rebuilt, or are due to have it done, due to their age. So if you're in the market for a VX220, it's worth checking to see if it has been done or budgeting for it if not. The rebuild completely transformed the way the car rides and handles, cost around 3k and is fully documented in the receipt's folder. The car will be MOT'd and serviced before sale. Very rare to find unmodified low mileage examples. Most have had their Vauxhall badges removed, grills swapped out, the turbo wheels/spoilers added etc and the engines heavily modified. This is as close to original as you'll find with a value that is only going up. The VX220's are still very well priced compared to the equivalent Lotus Elise's.
