Description

2007 Porsche (987) Cayman S - IMS + RMS Done. For sale is my beloved 987 Cayman S. I have owned the car for just over a year but an unfortunate change in employment means it's no longer practical to keep it.Significant investment has been made in the mechanical maintenance of this vehicle over the last few years. The owner before myself was a fanatic and went through the car with a fine tooth comb during his tenure. All work completed has been invoiced resulting in an extensive maintenance record, with invoices in the last few years alone exceeding 16,000.00.In May 2021 (59,050 miles) marque specialist JMG Porsche replaced the water pump, front coolant pipes, and air conditioning condensers, and fitted a low temperature thermostat as part of the service. In 2022 (64,533 miles) specialist Parr Porsche performed engine out maintenance. This included IMS and RMS replacements, refreshing the front suspension, rewiring the coolant circuit, and replacing the clutch and flywheel, brake lines, and exhaust.During the service in January 2023, Parr replaced the engine oil, oil filter, boot lid strut, handbrake lever, front tyres, clutch pedal switch, nearside rear indicator and reverse light bulbs, and undertray nuts. At its latest service in July 2024 with another specialist Brookspeed, the vehicle underwent a major service which included a full spark plug replacement set.In August 2024, I attended to the advisories on the MOT and had Brookspeed entirely overhaul the rear suspension. This included, replacement of the top suspension mounts, springs, shocks, rear trailing fork arms and anti-roll bar drop links. It has also been given a full four wheel alignment. All tyres are Michelin Pilot Sport 4S' and all have 8mm of tread left.As a result you are unlikely to find a better cared for or more well sorted example on the road today.Cosmetically, the vehicle presents exceptionally well considering its been used as intended. In recent ownership, it has always been stored indoors, and I have kept the car under a cover on a CTEK trickle charger in my barn year round. It is a fairly high specced example from factory, with the all important sports steering wheel and heated seats. It also benefits from an after market Pioneer head unit, but the original has been retained, and will be provided. The exhaust now fitted is an Dansk item, which is best described as an OEM+ noise. It doesn't drone at Motorway speeds, but uncorks a bit more character from the flat six. Next MOT due 01/07/2025, Full service history, Grey, 5+ owners, £16,500
