Description
The car is currently a non-runner after it was driven into a low flood (painfully watched an old Peugeot 306 drive right on through it whilst I was stuck). The water did not get into the car, but thinking it got sucked into air intake. It has been looked at by a garage, they attempted to jump start it but couldn't get the engine firing. They said it's likely a new engine or they can try replacing certain parts and tinker but that wasn't a risk I wanted to take. It does however move into neutral with a jump start. The vehicle recovery chap was convinced it will fire up if the battery is charged and air filter replaced but I just don't have the time, money, knowledge or patience to get it sorted. The car has had the rear differential rebuilt in recent years and had new (refurbished) wheels put on it last year. The paintwork is in decent nick but obviously not perfect. Likewise the Leather interior is not immaculate but I suspect a proper clean and it will look lovely - no visible tears or anything like that and colour is Lemon. The automatic transmission was very smooth, no knocks or anything like that and no warning lights were on the car. There is a stack of paperwork and it has been well maintained over the years; prior to my mistake of driving into the flood mechanics would always compliment the cars condition. E.g. One local BMW specialist remarked how there was hardly any rusting and other mechanics have made similar comments. Inspection/viewing welcome, I'm available most afternoons and usually any time on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Next MOT due 04/02/2025, Black, 5+ owners, £1,500
