Description
Fully fitted Chrysler 300C Gen 2 facelift, remapped to stage 1 giving around 275HP from 215HP and much more torque, not that it needs the extra torque as this powerful Mercedes engine OM642 and gear box uses the 3.0l engine to deliver the torque from the get-go and a little more when the turbo spools up. I have owned this car for around three years, and it has done some motorway mileage as well as around town and real world figures for MPG are urban / rural 28-34 and motorway will see it up to 45-48. This almost two tonne monster is no slouch for its size and is fun to drive sportingly and within the limits of the road but if you hit the throttle hard for a smile per mile the powerful engine will make the economy drop off, the speed and comfort of this car is quite deceptive, call it a wolf in sheep's clothing as that is what I look for in a car! It starts every time without fail rain, hail, sleet or snow. The car features an almost full "optional feature" set of the range such as auto tint rearview mirror, auto lights, auto wipers, premium sound system and much more. The car is structurally sound as confirmed by my local garage, the car body work has some lacquer flaking points but no serious dents just the usual light surface scratches, rubs gained over many years of service (I am probably being too picky but prefer that you know beforehand). The car has had all the issues fixed that had shown up on previous MOT tests before I bought it. It has had work done on it as expected and I have a selection of receipts for work done but here is a short list: new brakes calipers and shoes all around, new EGR valve, new turbo swirl flap lifter, engine swirl flap bypass (revertible if needed). The bad points or niggles is that the TPMS sensor whilst working and registering the pressures on screen will often lose connection to the on car receiver and post a message stating TPMS error of which only comes on when you start up and on the first few miles of the drive, it needs a new receiver. Secondly, the reverse sensors are not working and were none functional when I purchased the car and I never looked into it as I can reverse without the need of them. Intrusion detection module batteries have failed, which is common and can be replaced, but the alarm still works regardless and does not throw up a fault code this was deemed from a scan tool and I can show you the same when you come to view it. Be aware that it is SORN, so I cannot offer a test drive as such. Next MOT due 17/01/2025, Silver, 5+ owners, £2,500
