A beautifully presented, admired and dependable classic in a superb colour scheme to match its era. ____________A UK car, originally purchased by Crystal Palace football club, and sold 3 years later by Brooklands Mercedes (bill of sale included). Very hard to find in this condition - I wouldn't hesitate to drive the length of the country at zero notice. ____________The colour is Smoke Silver complemented by beige leather interior. Has never let us down. Utterly reliable and dependable, it starts first time without hesitation. ____________Mechanically, the car is faultless and drives smoothly in all gears and conditions. Brakes are strong, recent new front pads and sensors, and adjustment at rear. 4 matching Continental tyres - 2 new, all excellent tread. 4 keys, including 2 infra-red remotes (alarm & central locking). The original service book is stamped at pre-delivery inspection, 716 miles, 11k, 18k, 28k, 36k, 51k, 61k, 96k, 98k. MOTs going back 26 years to the very first one, and a number of invoices for maintenance. ____________Metalwork is excellent and original. No rust or rot. Pristine arches. The paintwork shines and is consistent in colour. The bodywork's only flaw is the rear bumper, which is unfortunately cracked. Local garage has quoted 500 to repair. The original 15" wheels have been diamond polished. ____________Interior is lovely, only minor & common flaws are: the rolling wood centre armrest cover - separated but still works, light wear to the driver's seat bolster and the seatbelt butlers which worked until recently - suspect a faulty door switch which I will try to fix. Alpine DAB, Bluetooth and CD player and newly upgraded speakers. OEM wind deflector is included. Heated front seats, electric rear head restraints, electric windows and mirrors. ____________The roof operates quickly and smoothly. There are no clunks or hesitations. It seals completely with no wind noise etc., but if we were keeping the car, we would replace it. Minor wear to the exterior and holes in the headlining where it has caught the stowing mechanism. ____________We love this car and have made core memories taking the kids for days out, but we don't use it enough. ____________Open to offers close to asking.
