This 2002 Porsche 986S Boxter Tiptronic is in remarkable condition inside and out. First registered 14/05/2002, I purchased the car on 25/07/2023 with a total mileagefrom new of 27,789 miles. Current mileage is 29,100 miles and the care has been fastidiously maintained by Barr-Tech Specialist Cars Ltd. renowned as Ferrari, Maserati and Porsche experts here in Cambridge. Prior to purchasing the car, I commissioned a full 23 page inspection report by Porsche Inspections Ltd, independent Porsche consultants. This report, with over 50 colour photographs of all aspects of the car, concluded " The impression overall is that of a very original car and it would be difficult to find another similar example". Fully documented service history and MOT history is available, with invoices. The original engine number was M96/02 67207277. At around 13,500 miles, the engine failed and on 25/06/2008 a new Porsche engine reference M96/21 AT 67265339 was fitted by Porsche Nantes France. The AT reference identifies the engine as a factory replacement. The replacement engine has covered under 16,000 miles in the past 16 years. In my ownereship, the following additions and repairs have been made including new expansion bottle, water pump, RHF wheel bearing, speed sensor, RHF stabilizer link, Tiptronic oil pan and gasket, new batter 110L, MOT with no advisories 24/05/24, AC condensors x 2, nitrogen test and regass of aircon system, Major service 17/08/2023 icluding Tiptronic serviceand new v belt, brake fluid change, oil change, coolant change, Tiptronic oil change, air filter, gaskets, oil filter, oil strainer, spark plugs. Annual service 19/09/2024, oil change, particle filter. A partial respray to front end and rear end to attend to stone chips was carried out in July 2007 by Densley Charles Coachworks in Cambridge. On 30/11/2023, Cambridge Autogleam Audio of Foxton removed the faulty OEM Becker CDr220 and this was replaced by a Continental CD7416U head unit allowing full bluetooth telephony and USB input. New pioneer mid range speakers fitted. For convinience, a Garmin satnav and wireless reversing camera has also been neatly fitted, although the car still has the original fully working VDO Dayton MS6100 with remote control, operating from a GSP CD unit in the boot.
